In 1960, Jean Vuarnet won the Squaw Valley Winter Olympics on a pair of Allias 60s, the first-ever all-metal skis. Rossignol achieved international success with the introduction of the first glass fiber skis, called Strato, in 1964. In the 1970's, Rossignol hit the U.S., launched its Nordic skis and became the largest ski maker in the world. It wasn't until 1990 that Rossignol launched their Alpine ski boot range and then diversified into snowboards and textiles. Overall winner of the Albertville and Lillehammer Winter Olympics, Rossignol became the uncontested world leader in winter sports.

Today, The Rossignol Snowboard Team boasts such riders as Jeremy Jones, Xavier De Le Rue, Jonas Emery and Kjersti Østgaard Buaas. Recently, Jones, De Le Rue and Emery took home the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place honors respectively in the 2009 Freeride Tour in Squaw Valley. Buaas took 1st place at the 2009 US Open Slopestyle, winning the event for the second year in-a-row.
